KABUL: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Kabul on Thursday on a day-long visit to Afghanistan, marking the first of its kind after the Taliban took over the government in the war-ravished country.
Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, tweeted that the Chinese Foreign Minister had visited Kabul.
After arrival, the Chinese Foreign Minister met with Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, he added.
The Foreign Ministry says that during his visit to Kabul, the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold talks with the officials of the Islamic Emirate on strengthening political, economic, transit and humanitarian relations.
