Chinese Foreign Minister reaches Kabul

KABUL: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Kabul on Thursday on a day-long visit to Afghanistan, marking the first of its kind after the Taliban took over the government in the war-ravished country.

Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesman of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, tweeted that the Chinese Foreign Minister had visited Kabul.

After arrival, the Chinese Foreign Minister met with Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, he added.

The Foreign Ministry says that during his visit to Kabul, the Chinese Foreign Minister will hold talks with the officials of the Islamic Emirate on strengthening political, economic, transit and humanitarian relations.

It is mentionable that after the Islamic Emirate regain sovereignty, the People’s Republic of China maintained its relations with Afghanistan and its embassy is active in Kabul.

On the other hand, China is one of the suppliers of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan and in the last six months, several shipments of its humanitarian aid have been transferred to Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, Presiding by excellency Amir al-Mu’minin Shaykh al-Hadith wal-Tafsir Mawlawi Hibaullah Akhundzada the cabinet meeting of the Islamic Emirate has held in Kandahar province.

In the meeting, His Excellency Amir al-Mu’minin ordered on the institutions, to interact with people according to law, finding fundamental solutions to economic chellenges, recruitment and organization in the security agencies and making better progress in all government affairs.

The meeting have attended by Prime Minister, Deputies of PM, anf ministers of Defense, promotion of virtues and probition of evil, Interior, Economy, Finance, Justice, Public works, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Telecommunications, Labor and Social Affairs, Higher Education Ministers of Agriculture, Mines and Petroleum, Public Health, Trade and Aviation, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, chief of Intelligence, Academy of Sciences, Administration, Statistics, Da Afghanistan Bank and Red Crescent Directors, Kabul Mayor The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate and other officials were also present.

Zabihullah Mujahid, Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate and Deputy Minister of Information and Culture, said that during the meeting, Amir al-Mu’minin gave specific instructions to the relevant organs regarding the better implementation of Islamic Sharia in the country.
The rules are enforced in an orderly and orderly manner in the society and all Afghans will live in peace and prosperity under the rules of Islamic Emirate.

According to the source, the economic commission headed by Deputy Chief Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund has assigned to attract domestic and foreign investment for the country’s economic growth and prosperity, including power generation, road construction and mining. Amir al-Mu’minin said that if he could, he would set salaries for the Afghan men and women, adding that he understood the problems and hardships of his poor people, but that the economy of the Islamic Emirate was still weak.
