LAHORE: Australian cricket coach Andrew MacDonald also praised the innings of Pakistan team captain Babar Azam, saying that credit goes to Pakistan cricket team in Karachi Test, especially Babar Azam played brilliant innings and did not let us win.
Visiting team coach Andrew MacDonald hinted that if Mitchell Starc stays fresh, the decisive Tests of the series will be played in the third Test.
Andrew MacDonald said: “We have 4 days before the third Test. We have good bench strength. The players who have not played are fully prepared. We have their options. We review the pitch every time this time. You will also see the pitch of Gaddafi Stadium.
“League spinner Mitchell Swapson bowled well and took many chances. We will go to Gaddafi Stadium to see how much he is involved in the plan. We will review the conditions and make the right decisions,” he said.
Andrew MacDonald further said that on the fifth day of Karachi Test there were many opportunities but they could not take advantage of them. We have played good cricket for ten days out of 15 days Test cricket in Pakistan.
He said that the morale of the players is high and they know that now is the last test match.
