Intelligence personnel recover abducted trader in Afghanistan


KABUL: In a newsletter intelligence department of Parwan (North Eastern Afghan province) informs rescuing a national businessman in the province.

The newsletter states, that in a special operation intelligence’s forces rescued Haji Rajab from the grip of abductors on Tuesday.

The newsletter Added, that one abductor gets killed and another injured during the operation launched by intelligence forces.

In this operations, 11600 USD plus 1,450,470 Afghans in cash, four Kalashnikov rifles, a grenade launcher, and a pistol grip, captured by forces, the newsletter states.

According to Bakhtar News Agency, the abductors demanded 2 million USD for the releases of the businessman.

In September last year, Taliban hanged one of four dead bodies from a crane in the main square of Herat city in western Afghanistan by announcing in the square that the four were caught taking part in a kidnapping and were killed by police.
