KARACHI: Dead bodies of two missing fishermen were recovered from the Hajmaro Creek near Thatta (102 kilometers in northwest from Karachi) as a result of a joint rescue operation by Pakistan Navy along with Maritimes Security Agency (MSA) on Thursday.
Fisheries’s spokesman said, A boat namely Al Siddiqe was capsized in the sea along with 16 fishermen due to high tides and strong winds on January 31. Eight missing fishermen were rescued by the Navy while 6 dead bodies were also recovered from the Sea.
The rescue operation was continued despite hostile weather conditions. However, two remaining fishermen’s bodies were recovered by today’s morning, the spokesmen added.
