MADINAH: The agency for the affairs of Masjid Al Nabawi has announced that mass iftar gatherings will be allowed in Madinah during this year in Ramazan.
The Saudi government had suspended mass or collective iftar gatherings for the break of fast during Ramazan for two years because of Covid.
After two years, the agency has lifted some restrictions with one being to allow iftar gatherings with some SOPs.
It said, if social distancing will be maintained then a maximum of five people can be allowed on a single carpet but if the social distancing requirement is removed then a maximum of 12 people can be seated on a single carpet.
The agency has invited companies and individuals who wish to provide iftar in the mosque to obtain permits.
