ISLAMABAD: Female member of National Assembly, Jaweria Zafar of ruling Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf registered a case against her husband on the charge of attempted murder.
Jaweria Zafar has given a written application to the women police station in the capital city Islamabad, in which she said, six months ago, I have married to Haider Ali, and on a domestic dispute.
She charged her husband that he tried to kill her by putting a pistol on his head and fired, but fortunately bullet hit the wall as she tried to escape.
According to local media reports, police lodged an FIR on the complaint of Jaweria Zafar and arrested Haider Ali Baloch who was produced before an Islamabad sessions court.
The court has remanded him to jail custody for 14 days. He has been moved to the Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi.
Javeria Zafar Aheer was elected member of the National Assembly in the 2018 general elections from Khushab in the eastern province of Punjab. She was appointed parliamentary secretary for Over Seas Pakistani by the Prime Minister Imran Khan.
