KARACHI: Shahid Afridi, the former Pakistan captain and all-rounder for the Quetta Gladiators, has tested positive for coronavirus
Following the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) guidelines, the star player will quarantine at home and will be back into the squad after seven days of quarantine and declare tested negative.
Afridi told the management that he had been experiencing severe body pain for few days and that he seeks management permission for check-up and Afridi went to hospital on Wednesday, source said.
The all-rounder stated, he will join the squad after completing the obligatory three-day quarantine period.
Due to personal and health reasons, he had requested that he be excused from the bio-secure bubble by the franchise management.
